The commonly used grinding wheels in the bearing industry are mainly divided into alumina grinding wheels, silicon carbide grinding wheels, diamond grinding wheels and CBN grinding wheels.
1. Alumina grinding wheel: high hardness, solid texture, strong performance to cutting force, suitable for small and medium-sized bearing grinding and milling processing.
2. Silicon carbide grinding wheel: relatively low hardness, but good thermal stability, strong wear resistance, suitable for machining bearings with high hardness and high strength, such as forged steel, alloy steel, etc.
3. Diamond grinding wheel: the highest hardness, strong anti-wear performance, suitable for processing superhard materials, ceramics and high-precision bearings.
4. CBN grinding wheel: CBN has extremely high hardness and thermal stability, which is better for machining bearings of high hardness materials, especially in precision machining.
5. Brown fused alumina grinding wheel is the largest amount of abrasive, the most widely used one, high-speed rotation when used, can be metal or non-metal workpiece outer circle, inner circle, plane and various surface of the rough grinding, semi-fine grinding and fine grinding, grooving and cutting
6. White corundum grinding wheel is a porous body made by adding a binding agent to the abrasive, pressing the blank, drying and roasting. The characteristics of grinding wheels vary greatly due to different abrasives, binders and manufacturing processes, which have a significant impact on the machining quality, productivity and economy of grinding.
